Hi everyone!
I have been thinking a lot about prayer lately and just how powerful it is! I saw a pic the other day that said “Prayer is not a monologue to heaven. It’s a dialogue with the King of Heaven.”
Prayer is the dynamic that gives us the ability to do those things we know we cannot do on our own. It is a spiritual umbilical cord to our heavenly Father! It is an act of worship, the communion of our souls with God. It is our spirits working with the Holy Spirit to make changes and fine-tune those changes so that we might “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18
When we pray, we are recognizing the Lord’s magnificent grace. King David wrote Psalms 145:1-3 1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. 2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. (NIV)
Of course, we know that communication is the key to keeping any relationship vibrant and alive. Having an intimate relationship with God is why Jesus taught, “Ask and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened”
Friends, this coming Sunday, 12 October 5-6pm, we are having a Praise and Prayer Meeting at Gracelife! This is a great time to stand shoulder to shoulder (figuratively, as we are spread out around our venue
) to worship and to dialogue with the King of Heaven and ask and seek and knock!
Come and join us, and let’s trust God for much!
Craig
