It’s a step of obedience

Jesus Himself was baptized and invites us to follow His example.

“Repent and be baptized…” Acts 2:38

“Go and make disciples… baptizing them…” Matthew 28:19

It’s a picture of new life

Baptism represents leaving the old behind and stepping into the new life we have in Christ.

“We were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that… we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4

“For you were buried with Him in baptism…” Colossians 2:12

It’s a public declaration of faith

Baptism is a beautiful way to testify that you now belong to Jesus – body, soul, and spirit.
