Morning friends!

An interesting survey was done among people who do not attend a local church.  The results proved that our calling to bring others into the house of God is more important than ever.  When the participants were asked what would convince them to attend a local church service, the majority said that being invited by someone they know was probably the only way they would consider attending. Perhaps they want someone familiar with them when they walk in!

That means that, for some, you may be the only way they will ever decide to enter the house of the Lord. It’s important that we take seriously the scriptures that admonish and encourage us to help others find their way to an encounter with God.

Colossians 3:16-17 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. (NIV)

Mark 16:15 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. (NIV)

As a Pastor in a local church, I want to encourage you in this effort! At Christmas and Easter, friends and family are way more inclined to attend church than any other time of the year! And we have planned the perfect opportunity for you!

At Gracelife, we start our 2024 Christmas series called The Prince of Peace on Sunday 1 December. It’s a four-week series and ends the week before Christmas! Each week, we will dive into a different title and characteristic of Jesus. It is going to be fantastic! We are going to go all out this year and make it special so that you have an amazing occasion and opportunity to invite someone!

We want to open our arms and show people that they are welcome. Our desire is that once they are in the presence of the Lord they will never want to leave! We are in this together to see the Bluff and beyond discipled into the Glory of Jesus!

We can do our part to welcome them, but first, we need everyone to do their part by inviting people to come.

I want to encourage all of you to invite at least 1 person.  Pray that God will give you wisdom and grace to say the right words and that He will lead you to people who are hungry and open for Him!

I look forward to seeing the fruits of our collective labour.  Let’s go, and win souls for the King and His Kingdom!
